Read before you pledge
Risks and notices
Draft — pending counsel review. This page was drafted from an issue-spotting brief, not by a lawyer. It will change before mainnet.
Not an investment
A pledge is not an investment and carries no promise of value. Raise the Dead makes no promise about what any v2 token, or $RAISE, will be worth. There is no team, roadmap or treasury behind a v2 token after it rises. A v2 token can go to zero.
No affiliation
Raise the Dead and every revived token are independent of the original project. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the original project's developers, artists or brand owners. A name, logo or art appears only when a CTO signed brand consent; otherwise a coin is shown by its ticker only. A revived coin is raised by its holders and pledgers.
Risks
- No audit. The raise program has not been externally audited. Bugs can lose funds. Caps are in place (max 500 SOL per vigil, 10 vigils at once).
- Upgrade and pause powers. The owner's multisig can upgrade the program. The pause stops new pledges only; refunds can't be paused by design, but an upgrade could change code.
- Refunds send back the lamports you pledged, minus your own network fees. SOL's market value can move while it's in a vault.
- Market risk. v2 trades in a pool with burned liquidity. Its price can fall fast. Early-candle weighting changes your share of the pledgers' airdrop, not any price.
- Data risk. The death check relies on third-party data and can be wrong. Lore is AI-written and dramatized.
- Regulatory risk. Crypto rules are changing. Access may be limited or withdrawn in some places.
- Tax. Airdrops and claims may be taxable income where you live. We don't give tax advice.
- Fee. A 10% revival fee on a risen vigil funds the $RAISE buyback-and-burn.
